Case Study
VCU Health Partners With CTG for Successful Epic Go-Live
VCU Health
CTG was engaged by VCU Health, a top U.S. healthcare system encompassing an academic medical center, several community hospitals, and more than 800 physicians, for an enterprise-wide Epic electronic health record deployment.
CHALLENGE
VCU Health needed to develop a fully connected network across their hospitals and physicians network to improve patient communications and care decisions for patient-centered care. VCU Health identified Epic as their EHR solution, but they needed a go-live plan that included legacy application support, critical go-live readiness, end-user training, workflow optimization, and more.
SOLUTION
As VCU Health's chosen partner, CTG provided critical legacy application support so internal resources could focus on implementing the new system. A team of CTG experts trained and provided At-the-Elbow (ATE) support to more than 18,000 end users. With CTG's experience, Epic talent, and solutions, VCU Health successfully went live on Epic across six hospitals and hundreds of ambulatory centers in Virginia.
