Filip Gydé Assumes Role of CTG’s CEO
Today, March 1, 2019, marks Filip Gydé’s first official day as President and Chief Executive Officer of CTG. In December 2018, the Board of Directors unanimously selected Filip to succeed Arthur (Bud) Crumlish in this role and appointed him a member of our Board of Directors. Since then, Filip and Bud have worked closely together to ensure a smooth transition and continued success for the company.
“I’m honored that the Board of Directors has asked me to serve as CTG’s CEO,” said Filip. “I join the Board of Directors in thanking Bud for his many years of service, and I look forward to working with the CTG leadership team to continue to execute on our strategic plan,” he continued.
Filip brings extensive knowledge of the IT services industry, along with deep operational, strategic, and financial experience, to his new role. He has been with CTG since October 1990 and most recently served as the Executive Vice President, General Manager, and President for CTG’s European operations. Filip led our European operations from October 2000 through February 2019, and served as Interim Executive Vice President of Operations of CTG from October 2014 to April 2015, during which time he was responsible for overall company operating activities.
Amidst changes, Filip believes one thing has remained constant during his almost three decades at CTG—the company culture. “This culture is expressed in our values and the motto ‘Happy People Produce Quality.’ It is the real reason why, after nearly 30 years, I still am with CTG. It has always been about valuing every employee and I have found this to be true throughout the entire company,” he remarked.
If you have worked with Filip, you have probably heard that one of his favorite sayings is, “It takes a village.” Filip has always embodied this by creating complementary teams and blending different ideas together, and will continue to do so in his new role. “We have strengths across the company, experts on a variety of subjects, projects, and technologies. By sharing this knowledge with one another, the whole company can benefit. A successful organization is like a living network, a family that is closer than just a work team,” said Filip.
