Practice Advantage is a startup targeting health care industries, providing them with business intelligence and workflow automation software.

The Challenge and Opportunity

Practice Advantage wanted to build an integrated solution for dental health clinics that solved several challenges. The business intelligence and workflow applications that Practice Advantage sold to dental clinics were standalone, needed to be configured on-location, and every upgrade was a cost to both the clinics and the client. So, Practice Advantage partnered with CTG for a better alternative.

The Solution and Results

CTG's proposed solution was to combine the intelligence dashboards and workflows into a suite. The bundle would be subscription based and hosted on the cloud, which solved the problem of customization and cost upgrades.

Based on the client’s requirements, a rules engine algorithm was developed to determine the insurance eligibility of the visiting patients. The clinic would be able to access the product from any device and generate custom reports such as billing information, follow ups, and supporting documents for insurance claims, which collectively reduces the amount of paperwork.

The most salient feature of the solution is the business intelligence dashboard that enables the clinics to view all important data about their practice and their patients on a single screen. The user can view the insurance information of a patient, their dental records, last date of visit, future schedules, and much more. This means that a patient can walk in without knowing what his/her dental plans and still get the best treatment.
