Established in 2009, the business has helped individuals, employers, and brokerages with various non-insurance tools to moderate healthcare services and needs. It is a one-stop solution that provides multiple healthcare-saving services.
The Challenge and Opportunity
The client originally used physical cards to track the services consumed by their users. With growing digitization, the client needed to evolve towards a more unified digital participation and improve the user experience for all its users, fueled by their desire to enhance customer engagement as well.
They wanted their application to be a one-stop solution for all healthcare savings-related services. Furthermore, they wanted to significantly reduce the pressure users faced when having to access multiple applications in order to utilize different services. In summary, they needed a unified digital platform that allowed members to seamlessly avail the numerous benefits provided by the healthcare service providers.
The Solution and Results
CTG joined hands with the client to produce a web and mobile-based solution that would transform the ongoing business, in terms of scale and efficiency. CTG’s digital engagement experts created a robust roadmap; connected all their needs with the most positive, engaging solution.
Members had to migrate to third-party websites every time they wanted to access any of these services. CTG worked on this challenge and helped transform the client’s website to seamlessly allow access to all services & benefits, without redirecting to third-party websites, making the process became more user-friendly and time-saving.
Web Portal for Members
The client provided services listed and not limited to the following:
- Telehealth: 24/7 access to a doctor — anytime, anywhere with no visitation fee. They could talk to a U.S.-licensed physician by phone or video to get a diagnosis, treatment options, and a prescription, if medically necessary.
- Advocacy: Qualified advocates from freshbenies can simplify members’ healthcare experiences and help them take control of their healthcare costs.
- Behavioral Telehealth: Convenient, discreet access to therapists and psychiatrists.
- Prescription Savings: Help with prescription(s) that are expensive and only partially covered by insurance, or prescriptions that aren’t covered by insurance.
- Dental Savings: Dental expenses-related services.
- Vision Savings: Discounts on vision exams, branded eyewear, and expenses related to eye care.
- Pet Pack: Pet telehealth and savings, along with emergency services for dogs and cats without expensive emergency care.
Broker Portal
The role of a broker in the member-benefits industry is to empower their members to access various benefits with respect to their healthcare plans. They act as a bridge to provide bottom-line savings in their healthcare costs. To facilitate the working of brokers, the client wanted a web portal in place. A broker could register using this portal to access various services that enable them to do their work efficiently.
Employer Portal
Business Intelligence modules were integrated into the employer web portal, which enabled brokers and employers of various members to view the analytics regarding service utilization, commission, and data tracking. The Business Intelligence solution enabled brokers to view their total commission earned to date. By using the utilization report, they could view the types of benefits members use along with the number of members using each benefit. This helped them in strategizing their goals and in mapping the right benefits to the right members.
Beniehub – Backend Admin Portal
Beniehub, the admin portal, was specially created to manage the employers, brokers, members, and their dependents from a central management system. After every broker and employer is onboarded, all their activities and the status of members can be tracked using this portal. With a central management, it became easy to manage and track the activities happening on the website, and this improved user engagement exponentially.
Native Mobile App for Members
CTG’s mobile app design & development services helped improve end-user experience and improve overall user engagement. The members were able to virtually access their member card data and get all the related information without the need for saving it in multiple devices. As a result, the number of active users kept increasing by 10% every year.
SSO Integration
The client uses various third-party applications to help its members gain access to many benefits like Teladoc, Alight, and Wellvia. CTG integrated the client system with third-party applications using a single-sign-on (SSO) identity provider.
ADA Adherence
CTG also ensured the client portal and app adhered to ADA standards and conducted various audits to create an equal opportunity environment for all members.
