Company title: Competence Developer and Conversation Coordinator
Years at CTG:10 Years

Current City:Fameck, France
Favorite Thing to Do Outside of Work:Spend time with people I love, especially my wife and our five children
Usually, I wake up at 6:45 a.m. to share breakfast with my family and drive my children to the bus station or to school. I spend a lot of time in my car since I cross the border from France to Luxembourg every day. Due to the heavy traffic, it can take an hour to an hour and a half to drive only 40km to the office.
After greeting my colleagues, I start checking my email and responding to important messages. Then, I organize my day between weekly meetings with office colleagues and posting on CTG’s social media channels. My main tasks relate to the job openings and consultants that I manage.
Typically, my lunchbreaks are short, unless I am with colleagues or a professional for a one-on-one meeting. After lunch, I try to organize most of my afternoons to go “in the field” to meet my team or a customer. Some afternoons, the Marketing and Communication Coordination team and I work together on different topics. If I have time to come back to CTG after a meeting, I complete paperwork and check my email once more before leaving the office.
I return home between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m., with normal traffic. I have a big blended family and it is important for us to share at least one meal together so we can each talk about our day. When all of our children are at home, there is a total of seven of us sitting at the table. It is also time for my wife and I to exercise or spend an evening out together.
I love the relationship side of the Competence Developer position. Indeed, I am an important player in finding the balance between customer needs, CTG strategy, and the needs of my consultants. To achieve this goal, a big part of my job includes knowing my consultants’ work environment, understanding their needs, communicating with them, and most importantly, listening and being empathetic and generous. This creates trust and allows them to give the best of themselves and push their career forward! When a consultant tells me, “Stephane, I trust you!,” I know I am doing something
