Favorite Song Right Now: I absolutely adore music in my daily routine. I work while listening to it as much as possible; it helps me to focus on the work I have to do. Right now, I am listening to “Keep Lying” by Donna Missal and “Corps” by Yseult. I invite you to discover these women, who have incredible talent.
Favorite Thing to Do Outside of Work: I like spending time with my family, having meals with friends, shopping, or walking. Painting is one of my passions. I have been painting for a few years for pleasure and almost all of the walls of my house have a canvas.
I am pleased to hear my alarm clock ring between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Of course, if I could mute it and continue my night a little more, I would definitely do it. My day cannot start without a good shower, otherwise it is impossible to wake up properly. When I was younger, I took a shower with music, but now it is not possible because I have to avoid waking up my whole family with a private concert. Then I cross the France-Luxembourg border every day to come to work, by bus or car sharing when a friendly colleague is willing to take me with them.
When I get to the office, the first thing I do is check my emails and prepare my schedule for the day if I didn't do it the day before. Then I get a glass of water, and sometimes a quick breakfast, and I start working. If it's Monday, then I enjoy a croissant with my colleagues because we all take turns bringing in pastries on Monday mornings.
During the day, if I don’t have to attend meetings with my team, I work on test execution for the projects in which I’m involved. I have been a Test Engineer for almost two years. I perform test scripts that have been written by the team and report bugs to the development team. Currently I work for CTG in England; my team is located in Reading and we communicate by calls or chat, which allows us to keep in touch and create a real bond between colleagues.
In the evening when I get home, my partner and I prepare dinner and then we eat a family meal. After that, we relax with a good movie or a TV series. The last series that struck me right in the heart was "When They See Us." The scenario is taken from a true story and this is what makes it all more heartbreaking.
At CTG, we are brought together to work with people from all lifestyles, which it is enriching. Links and friendships are created because, after all, we spend more hours at the office than at home. In six years at CTG, I have had two job changes, going from Helpdesk Agent to Test Engineer. It is very gratifying to have had this opportunity. CTG believed in my abilities and I am fulfilled now. My advice is to always give your best so that you don’t have any regrets.
