Set the Stage for Project Success by Investing in Business Analysts

Defining a business’ needs is the first step in any project. These needs must be collected, documented, validated, and verified to ensure that the solution corresponds to the business requirements. An essential element in executing this methodical approach and maximizing your chance of project success is a Business Analyst (BA).

The BA must have the skills and knowledge necessary to produce rigorous deliverables, informed by the business’ needs, to minimize the number of bugs and other design flaws in the computer system. By defining the most precise parameters possible and anticipating complications, the BA helps to avoid unnecessary and expensive implementations and may significantly reduce costs associated with the project. The knowledge, research, and skills they bring to the table can help you conquer new markets through analysis and capture new clients by highlighting opportunities.  

An experienced and successful BA has intrinsic qualities that will help ensure that all stakeholders in your company understand each other and speak the same language. Their adaptability makes them an essential pivot within the workings of the organization.

To further develop their skills and improve performance, CTG recently offered BAs the opportunity to follow the International Qualifications Board for Business Analysts (IQBBA) training and earn a certification. The training will help them improve their skills, plan different tasks related to analysis, document the expressed needs, communicate the requirements to the various teams, and finally, receive their validations.

An added value of the IQBBA training is the additional topics that are not covered by similar training programs. The concepts of Enterprise Analysis and Process Improvement, for example, to optimize the efficiency of your business involve understanding business processes in order to identify the necessary changes. Since it is becoming increasingly difficult for a company to obtain a competitive advantage, the training also develops the concepts of Innovation and Design thinking, the goal being to go beyond traditional methods that no longer make it possible to obtain the expected result.

The training programs, which are developed and delivered by experienced trainers, focus on the keyword “interactivity.” In each program, the goals are to learn new skills, consolidate one's achievements, and increase one's knowledge. Using a dynamic approach with several workshops and exercises, IQBBA training encourages the practical application of knowledge and how to best apply it to your company.
