Diegem, 16 March 2011 -- IT service provider CTG won the 8th
place in the list of Best Employers 2011 in the category for
companies with fewer than 500 employees. The annual survey, an
initiative of the HRM centre at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management
School in cooperation with the Great Place to Work Institute Europe
and media partners Vacature/Références, rewards the company with
the best staff policy and the most satisfied employees. This is the
fifth time in nine editions that CTG is listed among the top 10 of
Best Employers in Belgium.
An extra asset to recruit 75 ICT
professionals
With an overall satisfaction score of 80%, CTG was ranked 8th Best
Employer in Belgium for companies with fewer than 500 employees.
The score is the result of a survey among CTG staff on five
aspects: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and friendship. The
ICT company can use the Best Employer label throughout the year. An
extra asset for the HR department in attracting new employees.
Ferdi Claes, HR Director at CTG, is happy with the
acknowledgement: "The good overall satisfaction score shows our
employees' appreciation for the daily work that CTG does in order
to offer its staff the best possible support. On average, CTG
invests 70 hours in personal training each year. What's more, this
acknowledgement is an extra asset to attract new employees in the
competitive ICT market. In 2011 CTG is planning to hire another 75
ICT professionals.
In the ICT sector, the emphasis mainly lies in providing
employees with continuing training in the first part of their
career. For several years now CTG has taken a different approach.
We constantly invest in developing initiatives to support
employees' growth through their entire career. In concrete terms
this consists of the CTG Academy (training programme lasting up to
seven years), Competence Development (eight people provide career
guidance for staff on a full-time basis), Centres of Excellence
(consultants exchange project experience) and CTG Labs (R&D
department by and for employees)."
